Not honouring crop set in CMS

Description

We have an Ansel field, it set to a single image, with a 1:1 ratio.

We add an entry upload image and set the crop to a square.

When we view the template there is no crop, the images load with their original dimensions.

Any thoughts greatly appreciate as I am baffled.

If we add sizing params the images are sized BUT again the images load with their original ratio NOT the crop selected in the CMS

    Hi Paul, this is indeed baffling as I cannot reproduce this issue.

    Do you have multiple Ansel fields on this Channel and is there a possibility that you’re using the tags for a different field than the one you have set as 1:1?

    Does the crop lasso maintain 1:1 when cropping?

    Is the preview thumbnail in the field 1:1?

    Its the only field in this channel, from what I can tell other fields in other channels seem to behave (but I do need to test further).

    The lasso crop does maintain the 1:1 ratio, and once cropped the preview thumbnail appears as I would expect, with the correct crop.

    Its the front end that is not behaving.

    I'm in the process of setting up a staging server, once sorted I'll test there.

    Brand new fields is doing the same.

    We are having the same issue on initial upload, then when going back into the entry we can use the lasso crop and crop the image accurately.

    We've upgrades to the latest build of the add on and EE and this looks like its resolved now, working locally and on dev site.

    Just as a follow up, I've tried again to replicate the issue and can't. I made a video of it working for me since I don't know what else to do.
