Can Construct be used to generate headlines e.g. give out only current node’s name?
#71 opened by Büro Ballmann Weber
Description
hi tj,
we tried and failed to give out only the node’s name on the current page. we thought since we create new construct nodes with a name and a slug, it should be possible to give out only the current node’s name as a header/headline on a page?
thank you and kind regards, matthias

Hi,
I’m not sure I fully understand what you mean by having tried and failed. Construct does not output anything automatically. You have to use Template Tags to output anything on the front end from Construct.
If you are on a page being served from Construct by a matched node, then you can use
{construct_route:node_name}
to display the node's name.https://buzzingpixel.com/software/construct/documentation/routing#routeVariables
If you would like to otherwise display a node's name in the
{exp:construct:nodes}
loop, you would use{construct:node_name}

oh, I understand what you mean and I was able to generate a solution with the provided tags. we were confused by the children-tags and misunderstood their concept.
one other question: is there a way for construct to support publisher’s languages? the website provides a german and an english navigation.

Sorry, Construct does not currently have any translation awareness or support any add-ons that do.

hi tj,
since we need to make websites with multi language support I would like to return the construct-plugin which is otherwise really great. can you cancel my order and refund in my account?
thank you and kind regards, matthias

I have issued a refund and disabled the add-on license in your account. According to my payment processor it may take up to 10 days for the refund to appear in your account.
I freely offer trials on all add-ons. For some add-ons that have recently been through major updates, I have built in trial periods of 30 days and therefore make the add-on freely downloadable (like Ansel). For add-ons like Construct that have not been through a major overhaul in a while and don't have my new licensing built in, a trial can be initiated by contacting me and I will send you a copy of the add-on to evaluate. Instead of issuing a refund, I’d rather just give you a copy of the add-on for free if there's a chance you are going to ask for a refund. In the future, please contact me for a free evaluation copy so you can be sure my software fits your needs, I’m happy to provide that. Please note that I’m actually going to be changing my sales policy very soon to note that all sales are final.

hi tj,
I’ve sent you an email about a trial version before I bought this license. However, as I had not received an answer for a few days and (especially in the quotation phase) every day counts, I had simply bought the plugin.
If you’ll add multilanguage support in the future, we will use it because I really like the concept of a more freeform navigationtool.
thank you and kind regards, matthias

I am looking for Construct's support for Publisher addon too.
It would be great to have such a wonderful addon supporting multilingual sites.
