nodes cannot be removed
#118 opened by Dan
Description
Solution:
Update Construct to 2.1.1
Nodes cannot be removed. I tried this in a brand new ee install (local) and also a production install Case 1: 1.Select the nodes 2.in the drop-down menu I click "Remove" and then click "Submit
- No action is performed.
Case 2: 1.Select the nodes 2.in the drop-down menu I click "----with selected" and then click "Submit
- A message appears: "{"success":true}"
Case 3: 1.Select the nodes 2.in the drop-down menu I click "Remove" and then Don't click "Submit"
- Instead, try to move around the node until the "Save Order" bar located at the bottom appears
- then click "Save Order"
- Refresh
- The node can be removed
Conclusion: it looks like I can remove a node in a normal way. Thanks for your help Chris

I get the exact same behavior. By the way, thanks for the Case 3 notes Dan... that was a great help cleaning up a confused client's errors!

Hey,
I wanted to let you know this has not escaped my notice. It sounds like some JS or class, or some element on the DOM has otherwise changed in more recent versions of EE.
Unfortunately, I've gotten myself in a bit of a time crunch on a couple projects. I try not to let that happen very often but unfortunately, it has happened at this time. I will try to look into this as soon as I possibly can.

Hi TJ,
Just plus one-ing this as it's causing problem for our clients on live sites.
Any update on a fix?
Kind regards,
James

Hi TJ, It's been a while and I'd like to follow up how it is going.
Another issue that I've been experiencing for some time is that the routing does not work properly. Not only it cannot update the URL after I changed the Slug (URL segment), it also keeps adding the segments before the slug. For example the URL should be
https://harthouse.localhost:8890/theatre/about-us
but Construct will render something like this
https://harthouse.localhost:8890/theatre/theatre/theatre/about-us
Sorry to say but it is very frustrating. May you please help? Thanks

I have just released Construct 2.1.1 which should fix this issue. You can download 2.1.1 from your account here on BuzzingPixel.com. https://buzzingpixel.com/account

The length of time it has taken to fix this issue has dented my confidence in Construct.

As one developer who sometimes has life and work happen, I can only offer my apologies and ask that you remember that we're all human, we all make mistakes, and we all let others down sometimes. I try really hard not to, but sometimes there are forces beyond my control at work. I'm sorry I let you down.
